Misakit
本アプリは基盤として Google LLC の Firebase(Authentication、Cloud Firestore、Cloud Functions、Cloud Storage、Hosting、Crashlytics)を利用しており、情報はその設備に保管されます。
Misakit Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-10
Misakit Project ("we") handles the information of people who use Misakit ("the app"), as described below. The app predicts when a runner will reach the points ahead on a set course, for the runner and for the people following them; sharing a position is how those predictions are kept up to date.
1. Information we collect
| Location | Latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy and the time of the fix. Collected when you open the app and send your position. The app does not track your location in the background. |
|---|---|
| Steps and activity | Your step count since the previous send, and the periods you were walking or standing still, read from Motion & Fitness (the pedometer) on iOS and from Health Connect on Android. We use this to leave rest time out of your pace. The app works without this permission. |
| Display name | The name you enter when you join an event. It is shown on the viewing page and does not have to be your real name. |
| Account | The identifier that Firebase Authentication issues for you, created anonymously the first time. If you choose to link an Apple or Google account, we use its identifier and email address only to return you to the same entry. |
| Battery level | Your device's battery level at the time of a send, so that others know whether your device is still usable during a long day out. |
| App and device | The app version and the operating system, used to investigate problems. |
| Crash data | Through Firebase Crashlytics, we collect a record of where the app crashed, your device model and OS version, the app version, and an identifier for the installation. We attach your account identifier (see Account) and the ID of the event you joined and of your page on the viewer, so that we can tell whose entry in which event a crash came from. This is used only to investigate problems that are hard to reproduce, such as those on a mountain. |
| Reports from the viewing page | When a display name is reported on the viewing page, we record an identifier made from the IP address the report came from, with the runner reported and the time. The IP address itself is not stored. This is used only so that reports from the same person are counted once. |
2. How we use it
- To share your position on the course, and the times you are expected to reach points ahead, with people following the event
- To record and show which checkpoints you have passed
- To estimate your pace and keep the predictions accurate
- To investigate problems and improve the app
3. What is made public
The viewing page for an event shows your display name, your position and predicted position on the course, the times you passed checkpoints, and your battery level. Anyone who knows the URL for that event can see it. You agree to this when you join an event. If enough viewers report a display name as inappropriate, it is shown as "(非表示)" (hidden) instead.
Choosing "leave" in the app menu stops your position being sent. You can rejoin from the app.
4. Sharing with others
We do not provide or sell your information to third parties for purposes other than those described here. The app is built on Firebase from Google LLC (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Hosting and Crashlytics), and your information is stored on that infrastructure.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
An event's records stay available to view after the event ends. There is no fixed time limit, but we may delete any information we hold, including accounts, at our discretion and without notice, for example to manage storage or for operational reasons. You can delete your account at any time from the app, under "プロフィール" (Profile) → "アカウントを削除" (Delete account); see deleting your account and data. Records of events that have not ended are deleted. Results of ended events (positions and checkpoint times) are kept with the display name replaced by "(退会)" (left) and no link to the account.
6. Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and find that your child's information has been sent to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access to where it is stored is restricted by access rules. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy when necessary. Any change will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
